The other day, Tom Mielke voted "no" on the CRC tax scam that Vancouver and other idiots are attempting to run to get the rest of the county to pay for their rip off.
As the only Republican on the county commission, Mielke has frequently been on the wrong end of a great many votes as democrats Steve Stuart and Marc Boldt routinely vote around him, meet around him, authorize around him and on and on and on.
Tom Mielke is opposed to this scam. That was the platform he ran on, that's been the platform he's stuck to like glue since he was elected, unlike, say, Tim Leave-it. And his vote on the CTrans scam was an affirmation of that.
What Tom wants... as every CTrans board member should want... is a county-wide vote on this entire project.
What most of the other CTran Board members DON'T want, and have done everything they can to stop, is a county-wide vote on this rip off. And we all know why they DON'T want a vote as much as we know why Mielke DOES want a vote.
Some; specifically, Mike Briggs and Greg Owens, attack Mielke individually. Briggs, for example, rather moronically exclaims that Mielke's vote was "immature and arrogant," when in fact, it was just the opposite.
Greg Owens, who will remain an embittered little man for the remainder of his life over Mielke's staunch opposition to Owens' scam to have taxpayer foot the bill for the much smaller Yakima Millionaires rip off that I helped to kill; complains that "Mielke makes decisions before all of the information is received" like THAT was in any way relevant and as if you need to be told that getting shot is bad for you before someone pulls the trigger; all because Mielke was instrumental in killing the ballpark ripoff.
Both seem fixated on David Madore, as if Madore had anything to do with his vote, and everyone should just meekly go along with this CTran/CRC extortion.
Well, out of all the CTran Board to date, Tom Mielke has been the only one who has not feared the will of the people as expressed at the polls.
The post on the Columbian's blog seems to express some surprise... fake surprise... that Mielke voted "no." But Mielke voted "no" because of the scam Leavitt, Smith and Hansen were running where they continue to do everything they can to deny us a meaningful vote AND because this vote, like any vote on this theft, should be... but won't NEARLY be... county wide.
Well done, Tom. Keep it up.
Mike Briggs & Greg Owens, the original Bobsie Twins more fearful of David Madore than any other I have seen.
ReplyDeleteThe follow each other around so much I wonder if they are connected at the hip.
Could someone please Mielke's "no" vote on Stuart's COUNTYWIDE CRC vote proposal?
ReplyDelete:) You two keep their horrific posts from seeing the light of day? --Jeremy
ReplyDelete(see above garbled post.)
ReplyDeleteI meant would someone please EXPLAIN Mielke's vote.
Sure.
ReplyDeleteIt's because he voted against a vote that will not BE a county-wide vote.
These people KNOW a county-wide vote would fail... miserably... so there's not going to be one.
They'll do what they always do... like Marc Boldt supported... sit down with a precinct map and cut out the precincts with a history of voting "no" so that only "yes" precincts are allowed to vote.
Tom knows this.
From the article:
"The resolution also called for a vote, put to C-Tran’s entire service district, on whatever that ends up being."
"whatever that ends up being AIN'T gonna end up being "county wide."
I thought Stuart's resolution was "Countywide"?
ReplyDeleteMartin, I quoted the article. And that's why Tom was a "no."
