When State House Republicans get stupid: Rep. Mike Hope (R - Lake Stevens) to waste our tax dollars ro bring back the Sonics.

.
Yeah, you read it right.

All my years in politics have shown me that Republican's, both party and elected officials can be just as big a bunch of morons as the left.  And this is no different.

We're run into that same kind of thing down here, with RINO's like Marc Boldt lining up to help ram the bridge down our throats, or to stuff a movie ticket tax in that same place so the very, very few can benefit from the labors of the many.

And now, THIS moron is out there shilling the same ol' failed NBA business plan.  And he's using the same kind of idiotic language to justify it as the slime shilling baseball down here are using:
Hope tells Seattle Weekly that he plans to draw up legislation that takes advantage of a "broad coalition" of private and public investments to bring a new or renovated stadium and ultimately a top-level basketball team to Seattle.
Does this kind of nonsense look familiar?  Is should... since it's precisely the same kind of stupidity we're seeing with this re-re baseball scam.

And I'm sure that all the self-centered scum who want US to pay for THEIR baseball team will have no trouble at all supporting this effort to use STATE money for a PRIVATE basketball team, no matter HOW many hundreds of millions it costs... right?

As a former Executive Director of this state's GOP, I knew that Republicans were capable of being stupid, having seen it up close and personal.  And Hope is the embodiment of that truism.

Whenever politicians think they have to fix something that doesn't need fixing, they just whip out the state checkbook and start writing.  The failed NBA business plan doesn't deserve the use of our tax dollars when there are so very many other things that remain unaddressed that COULD be a better use of our dollars.

Idiot.
