First DADT Training: a wreck of contradictory dictates that are just the beginning of degrading force capabilities.

Straight from the "all pigs are equal, but some pigs are more equal than others" files comes this Kafkaesque nonsense as the Corps struggles to implement, in the middle of multiple fricking wars, this leftist social engineering that will undoubtedly cost lives... and blood... not to mention careers.

Is it any wonder that the only active duty Medal of Honor recipient, Army SSG Sal Giunta, is leaving the Army even though his ticket has as many punches as Audie Murphy's?  Who can blame him?  (No, SSG Giunta has not publicly stated why a career NCO (and Staff Sergeants are arguably, career NCO's) with his choices of any assignments, schools, and the fact that he'll never hear another round fired in anger again would quit)

This Ain't Hell brings it on down to provide this glimpse into the sheer stupidity of this policy, it's implementation and training the force up to accepting immoral conduct.  Of particular note:

“Marines won’t be expected to change religious or moral beliefs and can express those feelings, according to a training script. However, derogatory statements won’t be tolerated.”

This kind of dreck is what we used to call the QCK... or a "quick career killer."

What is or what isn't a "derogatory statement" can be entirely subjective.  What's "derogatory" to one isn't even noticeable to someone else.  What we have here is thought... and expression... control that will no doubt be followed up by thought police.  Because decoded, what the edict above means is this:

If you disagree with the policy, you'd better keep your mouth shut.

Now, that sort of thing has been done before.  Look up the political prisoners of the Soviet Union.  And how'd that work out for them?

I can see the newly modified OER's, SNER's and EER's:  a new box.  "Officer fully supports out and open gays in the military."  Anything less then a "1" on the OER and your military life is over.

Then, of course, re-education; another Soviet construct, will become a viable option.

While the fringe leftists who pushed this nonsense and who will not be serving to feel its direct impact will realize "gains" (if you can call them that) from this policy, those "gains" will be more than off set by the departure of warriors who wouldn't be caught dead in these kinds of circumstances.

Marines’ ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ repeal training revealed

Getting straight to the point, male-on-male kissing is the first scenario Marines are discussing at Camp Pendleton as they learn about the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and what it means for them.

Marines may also have to get used to living with an openly gay service member, recruiters could be punished for barring enlistees that talk about being gay and early discharges may not be granted for those that disagree with the repeal, according to training materials released this month by the Marine Corps.

No one can convince me that this is somehow a good thing, but it IS simply the way things are for those currently serving. Reading through the training materials didn’t offer any real surprises either.

The Rand study estimated that five percent of the military’s male population is gay and 10 percent of the female population is lesbian.

(Edit: Sure.  Like in the early days of the gay rights scam we were assured that 10 percent of the population was gay.)

I’m certain this training will return many fold the the time and money spent on it in the form of added combat efficiency and esprit de corps… for that 5 percent, at least.
