Yesterday, I trashed the nonsensical efforts of yet another group of teachers whining about their pay... teachers who in this economy, one might think, would be thrilled to have any pay to whine about... so imagine my surprise when the democratian wrote a rather limp-wristed condemnation of the same thing.
As always, anyone working for government in any capacity does so voluntarily. You don't like what you're getting paid?
Too bad. Quit.
Where the democratian jumps on the "fail boat" is where they once again miss an opportunity to demand pay CUTS, not INCREASES.
The costs of pay and benefits continues to increase while the rest of us have to suffer in the private sector. My business's revenue is holding steady... off 54% from 2 years ago. So I am not impressed by whining public employees, who seemed incapable of understanding what they were going to be paid to take the job... or what the concept, shilled by their hero Obama, of "shared sacrifice" really means.
The time is long since past to begin the process of cutting public employee pay and benefits to reflect that of their private sector counterparts.
And a great place to start would be right here, with the whining instructors at Clark College... and right now.
After all, what are they going to do? Quit and go somewhere else?
