I get when you put out a monthly newsletter for a political party (As if the local GOP could do such a thing) that you have to play a certain role and those reading it have to suspend their disbelief to a certain extent.
But it goes to show a twisted world view, where reality really doesn't play all that much, and the writer should have had a position in the Iraqi Ministry of Propaganda under Saddam.
There's a lot of that... well... bunk. But what caught my eye was this:
I thought I'd show the reader what "edging out" looks like:
Yes, Kampe, with his downtown Vancouver shtick, perfect for the 49th, was "edged out" by a paltry 20%... the political equivlent of a massacre.
"A rare real chance for a Democrat gain in the solidly Republican bastian."
In the Primary, Kampe, the only democrat running, managed to get... well....
For the numerically challenged, Kampe managed a sweeping, stunning 31.92% of the vote. As the only democrat running, it was clear from the beginning that he never had a chance.
The d's wasted almost $70,000 on an effort that was doomed.
There was never any chance that Kampe could win. The only person who MIGHT be able to win in the 18th... if any chance existed at all, would be a conservative democrat, the kind the downtown democrats shoot on sight.
.
It's this kind of a lack of practical politics we frequently see played by both sides... where the decisions are made, not based on what's right by the people, but instead by what's the most partisan. And the kind of self-delusion displayed by the democrat newsletter is a major part of the problem confronting this country.
