The number one reason to oppose the state income tax initiative.

.
There are 41 states currenly in the state income tax business. Leftists in Washington State interested in using class warfare to get out the fringe vote since their government has done such an abysmal job, try and sell this steaming pile by telling us all that it only impacts the "rich."

Of course, Oregon and California both have this form of economic salvation, and they both seem to be train wrecks. (Have they ever stopped to think that maybe... just maybe... it's not a revenue problem.... but a spending problem, instead?)

Well, here's a link you should check out... you know, to see what the other 41 states have done.

To save you from some eye strain, here's the executive summary: The state with the highest income exemption before you have to pay some state income tax is Connecticut.

You probably would think that it's some huge amount. After all, those states with a state income tax would never consider taxing the poor..... right?

I guess they never got the memo. THE highest income examption for an individual before they start paying.... in the United States today... is $13,000.

That's right... $13,000. And you can bet most, if not all of the states with an income tax used some sucker bet like they're trying to use here to get this passed.

The lowest exemption?

It appears to be the progressive state of New York. They tax every dime you make. They exempt nothing for a single individual.

And just for giggles, check out Oregon. They only seem to exempt the first $176 you make.

So, you want to see our future if this rip off is passed?

Check out the chart.

I have.

And slowly, using the "frog in the warm and then boiling water" approach, inexorably, inevitably... our state will begin to look like the rest on this list.

Vote "no" on I-1098.
