The political end is near for Steve "Easy Money" Stuart: TWO GOP opponents.

.
Given his background of corruption and support for the horrific bridge/loot rail project, Steve "I've been bought" Stuart is the political equivalent of "low hanging fruit."

Get the right message (Clean up corruption, completely oppose the I-5 Bridge/loot rail scam) and a county wide win is assured.

Vancouver City Councilwoman Jeannie Stewart hit the "send" button with 6 minutes left to file today.

A political unknown by the name of Alvin Svehaug also filed. Both filed as Republicans.

So, the question is going to be simple: do you support the current regime of corruption and this hideously worthless multi-billion dollar waste of money?

Or do you oppose the bridge while simultaneously believing in transparent, responsive government?

  1. Feelings amongst many today is that Jeanne entered to help Stuart retain his seat and draw votes away from Alan Svehaug.

I met Alan this afternoon, shortly after he announced. He says he has over 30 years as a contractor and has several years experience in planning and developing construction projects he has worked on.

    We'll see how it goes.

  2. Lew, did he give a position on the CRC project... light rail and so forth?

  3. He is solidly opposed to a new bridge with light rail and tolls, advocates a third bridge downstream.

  4. Awesome. That's the kind of thinking we need!
