So... John Pennington endorsed Pike, eh? Is that a reason to vote FOR her, or AGAINST her?

Heard that John Pennington endorsed Liz Pike the other day... and I pondered: is that another reason to vote against her?

Here's the take as it was forwarded to me:

Former State Rep John Pennington Endorses Liz Pike in 18th Seat

Last Thursday, John Pennington, former three-term Speaker Pro Tempore for the Washington State House of Representatives joined a multitude of other Republican elected officials and citizens to endorse Liz Pike for his former Position 2 seat in the 18th Legislative District.  

"I am endorsing Liz early in this race because she is the most effective conservative voice to continue to represent the citizens of the 18th District," said John Pennington.  "I have personally known Liz for the past 17 years and I am certain she will continue the strong leadership and representation provided by my great friend, Representative Ed Orcutt."

"What makes Liz a perfect fit for the 18th DIstrict is that she knows when and how strongly to stand up for what is in the best interest of the people she represents.  That characteristic would continue what Representative Orcutt and I successfully did for the 18th district for nearly two decades.  Liz will continue that strong and independent leadership," said Pennington.

John E. Pennington was a Bush 43 appointee for both of his terms as FEMA Director for Region X.  He is the founder and Director of the Snohomish County, Washington Department of Emergency Management (pop. 700,000) and an adjunct faculty member for the Department of Homeland Security’s Emergency Management Institute (EMI). He has extensive government, public policy, homeland security, and emergency management experience at all three levels of government and over the past 17 years. 

Prior to his emergency management and homeland security experience, Mr. Pennington served for four elected terms in Washington’s House of Representatives.  He was unanimously elected as House Speaker Pro Tempore for three of his four terms. During his tenure in Olympia he became a renowned leader on tax and fiscal policy, natural resources, and innovative environmental issues, successfully authoring more than thirty laws. 

First of all, here's a clue, John: Ed ain't in the 18th any more.

Second, is this the same John Pennington who bailed on the House during special session so he could go on vacation to France, and then blamed it on a bogus condition called "alkylosing spondylitis?"

Third, is this the same John Pennington who, as a result of taking this vacation and bailing on his constituents and his caucus allowed a DEMOCRAT budget to be passed by the evenly split House because he wasn't there to fight it?

Fourth, is this the same John Pennington who was appointed for that FEMA job with zero prior emergency management experience because, in part, of a fake college degree?

Fifth, is this the same John Pennington who, after he was exposed for having the fake degree, was subsequently hired by DEMOCRAT Snohomish County Executive Aaron Rearon, currently embroiled in a horrific scandal?

I dunno.  Is this a reason to vote FOR Pike?  or against her?
