The lying democrats in the Legislature continue: Seattle voters say "no" to extending the Stadium Taxes.

.
They are democrats.  Therefore, they lie?

We all know the scam.  These scum promised back in the day to get rid of a horrific tax that has served mightily to keep me out of my own home town to pay for stadiums that we didn't want in the first place... as swoon as the stadiums were paid for.

Well, they're about to be paid off.  So what did the lying democrats who scammed this tax in the first place actually do?  Well, in keeping with their "no tax they didn't love" fest, they immediately proved what a bunch of lying scum they are by setting about to extend the tax.

That is, they want to keep the tax in place for things that, well, have nothing to do with the stadiums.

Gee.  I'm stunned.  Are you stunned?

Let's take a guess at how the local democrat slime voted on this, shall we:

17th District

Probst - No.

19th District

Sullivan - Yes

Takko - Yes

49th District

Jacks - Yes

Moeller - Yes

That, of course means that 4 out of 5 democrats are lying scum with no integrity or honor.

But then, what do you expect?

BTW, here's a poll on the issue, taken in Seattle:
An Elway Poll released Wednesday showed that 57 percent of people in Seattle want the stadium taxes repealed, while 37 percent would keep them in place. The sampling of 405 voters was taken March 22-25. The margin of error was 5 percent.
Seems like democrats everywhere are all about ignoring their constituents and just doing whatever the hell they want.
.

Our future with Loot Rail.

.
As we all know by now, the slimeballs running our local government are dead set on two things: ramming a new bridge down our throats with loot rail attached, and making sure we have precisely zero say on the matter.

Led by Tim "The Liar" Leavitt and Steve "The Liar" Stuart, every imaginable effort has been made to silence this community where it matters: at the polls.  We are all well aware of two things: the first is going to be the horrific costs, including sucking $100,000,000 yearly out of the local economy, and the second that those cheering the most for this crap pile will not be paying for it.

That said, there are a massive number of reasons to oppose this money sewer.  Anyone reading my blog for any length of time has seen most all of them.  But the amount of crime on loot rail remains one of the top reasons to oppose this manure program from ever being built... and crime on the blackhole of cash known as MAX has skyrocketed.

Like the horrific costs of replacing the I-520 bridge and the horrific tolls of the Hood Canal and Tacoma Narrows Bridge, THIS is OUR future:

TriMet says MAX crimes increased last year

After two years of double-digit declines, crime on TriMet's light-rail system is on the rise again

— Feeling uneasy about last week's broad-daylight stabbings on MAX? This news probably won't help: After two straight years of double-digit declines, crime on TriMet's light-rail system is on the rise again.

What's more, TriMet officials say their decision last year to reduce fare enforcement rather than further slash schedules and routes could be exacerbating the problem.

Researchers in the emerging field of transit criminology say nothing -- not security or blasting classical music at stations -- deters crime like the regular presence of police and fare patrols.

A year ago, Oregon's largest transit agency once had 30 "supervisors" dedicated to going after fare evaders while deterring troublemakers on trains and station platforms. After last fall's cutbacks, however, there were only 13.

More:
Always remember: none of the slimeballs pushing this thing will ever have to worry about being robbed, stabbed, shot, or molested on loot rail, because THEY won't be taking it.

No, that will be our job.
.

You did know that much of your money to the Susan G. Komen Foundation goes to Planned Parenthood... didn't you?

.
You didn't?

Gee.  What a surprise.

Here's the down-low on that particular low-down.

This has been an ongoing controversy and now that LiveAction has come out with another sting on Planned Parenthood, this is significant. The Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation states in its March 2011 Statement on Planned Parenthood:

Early screening through mammograms and education is critical to end the suffering from this disease: 98 percent of women treated for early stage breast cancer, before it spreads, are alive five years later. The widespread use of mammography and heightened public awareness of breast cancer both contribute to these favorable statistics.
And while Komen Affiliates provide funds to pay for screening, education and treatment programs in dozens of communities, in some areas, the only place that poor, uninsured or under-insured women can receive these services are through programs run by Planned Parenthood. [emphasis mine]

More information provided on the PP homepage shows they clearly refer out for these  mammography services:

Where Can I Get a Mammogram?
Ask your health care provider, health department, or staff at your local Planned Parenthood health center about where you can get a mammogram in your area.

More:

Here locally, The Komenites were best known for excluding men, even male breast cancer survivors and patients)  from their precious little walk, a blatant violation of a half-dozen discrimination laws (And by "locally," I refer specifically to the Soviet Socialist Republic of Portland) and this kind of thing only serves to re-enforce their true, fringe leftist political agenda.

Breast cancer research is just as important and worthy (But certainly no more so) as prostate cancer research.  Both are a good cause.

But I want every dime of that money to go to the issue.  I do not want any of it to be spread around to the cause de jour.
.

Boldt shows his true colors: he wasn't just lying to me about an advisory vote.

.
As I pointed out before, my brother in law is Marc Boldt, unfortunately for us all, a Clark County Commissioner.

Boldt has twice endorsed his BFF, democrat Steve "The Liar" Stuart over Republicans, including fellow Commissioner Tom Mielke.

Now, I get why "The Liar" Stuart doesn't want an advisory vote.  Imagine the omelet of eggs all over his face when such a vote comes back and slaps him upside the head.

But the question for Marc is why, precisely, is it that you don't want one?  Particularly after YOU PROMISED ME TO MY FACE THAT WE WOULD GET ONE?

HERE, LET ME EXPLAIN IT TO YOU LIKE YOU WERE A SIX YEAR OLD:

Unlike YOU, these legislators are TRYING to find a mechanism that will allow the people to have a say if they want to be enslaved by a program that will waste billions of dollars.

YOU and your fellow democrat DON'T WANT TO KNOW.

You have ARBITRARILY REJECTED ANY attempt for a county wide vote, advisory or no, and you offer no justification for silencing the people who oppose your vision.

Good, God... has Stuart got incriminating video of you or something?

What is WRONG with you?

I worked for you, directly, for 6 years.  I am ashamed that I ever knew you.
.

Inside the plane, they couldn't hear the screams.

.
This is, as I understand it, the 30th consecutive day of rain here locally.  I feel the urge to start building a large boat in my back yard and putting pairs of animals of different genders into it.

Times like these give me pause.  And when I have this kind of down time, I frequently think of Marine Second Lieutenant Jim Cathey and his wife, Katherine.

And that's why I believe you should read this story... as I have... so you will never forget.

Marine Second Lieutenant Jim Cathey... coming home

It is long for a newspaper story... and it serves as a reminder of what sacrifice means, and what a real newspaper, which we unfortunately do not have around here, should be.

This cannot help but impact you deeply.  Best not to read it at work.
.

Movement is on by state GOP legislators to strip tribal casinos of their tax exemptions.

.
Of course, everyone involved in the megacasino scam knows that their parent tribe, the one along with the Paskenta down in California, the ones making all the money off this criminal enterprise, the Mohegans, have to pay Connecticut $400 Million a year in taxes for their operation.

The proposed Megascam in La Center?

Nothing.  Not one dime.

There's a movement underway to join with democrats demanding that state tax loopholes be closed.  And in this case, an almost $2 BILLION yearly loophole is open enough to drive a truck through it.

Here's the information.  I look forward to this bi-partisan effort, because in the past, the tribes have owned democrats as much as the unions... and that level of ownership was SUPPOSED to have been outlawed by both the Emancipation Proclamation AND the 13th Amendment.

Blog Post #2500 Leftist heads are exploding all over SW Washington tonite: Madore and No Tolls cleared by PDC.

.
Yeah, you know that Tim "The Liar" Leavitt and his posse of bridgers/looters have exploding skulls tonite as word gets out that the PDC has cleared both David Madore AND notolls.org of any campaign related wrong-doing.

My sense of Madore is that he is without guile, and is a political innocent. How much longer he will stay that way remains to be seen.

But because he's opposed to the leftist/union agenda, character assassination becomes the order of the day.

The local rag pounded him like a drum, and like me, he just shook it off. Those foaming at the mouth (Steve "The Liar" Stuart comes to mind... along with the entirety of Identity Vancouver) in a desperate hope that Madore is "dirty" somehow will be kicking their collective dogs BIG time... as once again, he passed the strict scrutiny they demand of others, but avoid applying to themselves.

You know... like Jim Jacks?

Meanwhile, the bridgers/looters will have to find some other way to take Madore out.  My guess is that Madore's reporting and following the rules will set records in accuracy and timeliness.

Nan Malin: ever the liar.

.
So, I was taking a look at the latest idiocy of Ridgefield Barbie, when I stumbled across an article that contained the usual lies and distortion from arguably the worst county party chair in the history of the WSRP: Nan Malin.

Unfortunately for Americans for Prosperity, they decided to give Nan Malin Kirby Wilbur's former job.  Now I get that Kirby had to throw her a bone to get her rank incompetence of the WSRP Executive Board, but this?

A brief reminder: Malin ran a tiny county organization that failed to field a single Republican candidate for anything.

Let me repeat that:

Malin was in charge of an utterly worthless GOP county organization that failed to field a single candidate, anywhere in the entire county, who ran as a Republican in the last election.

She brought those same mad skillz to the WSRP E- Board, so I get that she had to go... and I have to wonder what those in the 3rd CD organization were thinking by electing a psychopathic liar to the state executive board, but there's no telling for taste...

Anywho, here's the barf-bag special:
Nan Malin introduced Herrera Beutler, saying the party “made a list of who we could get to run for Brian Baird’s seat. We hounded Jaime. Pacific County played a huge part. We all did what we could to get her elected. I’m so excited she’s representing us.”
Malin, who has been an unmitigated political disaster in every position she's held, was all too modest.  She also was lying here, just like she lied about Senator Benton.

Pacific County played NO part in Barbie's election; in fact, due in large part to Malin's pathetic, nonexistent efforts, Pacific HURT Babs at the polls, with 54.25% of the vote actually going for Bab's OPPONENT (5,169 for Heck, 4,359 for Ridgefield Barbie)

She violated every tenet of her position by endorsing in a contested primary, as did Ryan Hart.  But Hart was bribed with the offer of a 6 figure job as Barbie's district director in return for his abrogation of integrity.  What did Malin get?

While Malin is "so excited" this cardboard cut out is representing us, I am sickened by the thought of it.

And oddly, in the rest of the article, Babs provides no explanation as to why she was only one of TWO Republicans who voted against defunding Obama's idiotic, non-functioning, mortgage savoir plan.

As long as we have people like either of these two making the decisions for us, we are going to be in very, very, serious trouble.

Sound Politics: Democrats caring for democrats.

.
Kinda speaks for itself.

Re: King County Executive Dow Constantine concurrently hires his campaign consultant for both personal campaign and county project
I reported last month that King County Executive Dow Constantine had hired his campaign consultant Christian Sinderman (principal of Northwest Passage Consulting) for a $100,000 ($278 / hour) "strategic communications" engagement at the Executive's office. I recently received requested copies of e-mails and other documents related to Sinderman's work for the county.
I'll post the more enlightening of these. First, here's a cover letter from the Executive's Communications Director, Frank Abe, to "provide context" for Sinderman's engagement. Among other things, Abe claims incredibly that Sinderman was "hired through an open, competitive process". In my experience it's unusual for unsolicited explanatory letters to accompany the response to a public records request. I take this to mean they understand very well how bad it smells to put the boss' campaign consultant on the taxpayer's payroll.

Don't you just love this kind of taxpayer abuse?

I think Dow's got some 'splainin' to do.

As CNN reports:

Only 14, Bangladeshi girl charged with adultery was lashed to death

By Farid Ahmed and Moni Basu, CNN
March 29, 2011 -- Updated 2309 GMT (0709 HKT)

Darbesh Khan and his wife, Aklima Begum, had to watch their youngest daughter being whipped until she dropped.
Darbesh Khan and his wife, Aklima Begum, had to watch their youngest daughter being whipped until she dropped.
STORY HIGHLIGHTS
  • Hena Akhter, in her last words to her mother, said she was innocent
  • At first, an autopsy said she committed suicide
  • But later, the ugly details of her case surfaced
  • Her family says she was punished twice -- raped and then lashed
Shariatpur, Bangladesh (CNN) -- Hena Akhter's last words to her mother proclaimed her innocence. But it was too late to save the 14-year-old girl.

Her fellow villagers in Bangladesh's Shariatpur district had already passed harsh judgment on her. Guilty, they said, of having an affair with a married man. The imam from the local mosque ordered the fatwa, or religious ruling, and the punishment: 101 lashes delivered swiftly, deliberately in public.

Hena dropped after 70.

Bloodied and bruised, she was taken to hospital, where she died a week later.

Amazingly, an initial autopsy report cited no injuries and deemed her death a suicide. Hena's family insisted her body be exhumed. They wanted the world to know what really happened to their daughter.

Sharia: illegal but still practiced

Hena's family hailed from rural Shariatpur, crisscrossed by murky rivers that lend waters to rice paddies and lush vegetable fields.

Obama's Keystone Cop foreign policy. (Update: And yes, he lied again - There ARE, and HAVE BEEN "boots on the ground.")

.
B-Ho has, of course, shown himself to be an abysmal failure in every area of government that can be measured.

You name it, he's screwed it up.

In the long list of foreign policy idiocies B-Ho is responsible for, Libya has to top the list as the singularly most moronic move this clown has ever made.

The United States needs a clear and cogent message that explains our positions and provides at least SOME level of certainty to the world.

As the increasingly weak and confused super power, we must become the pillar that super power status confers.

If we do not... then, well, the rest of the world will ignore us just like Qaddafi.

Yet, the Administration has gone to particular pains to do just the opposite.

Contrary to the Clueless One's assertion that there is no relativism; that is, a slaughter in Libya is bad, but a slaughter in Syria is OK, US foreign policy must be the exact opposite.

IF "slaughter" is bad in Libya, and we must, for whatever the reason, do something THERE: then, in fact, we must treat everyone the same wherever slaughter is taking place and do something wherever that may be.

Because the very idea that we are somehow in the "selective slaughter prevention business" is sickening.

I'm given to understand that in 1982, the clown running Syria slaughtered 15,000 people... an entire city... because of an uprising.  Riots are now happening in Syria, again.  The son of the clown running the show back in 82 is running it now.

What are we to do if he gives a repeat performance?  What if his military begins to slaughter thousands more?

What do we do then?

Don't know.  But we SHOULD know.  And IF the answer is to go in and put a stop to it... SHOULDN'T THE IDIOT IN CHARGE ALREADY KNOW THAT?

Because if he did know it... maybe it wouldn't happen in the first place.

But no... we can't have that.  We can't have any certainty... like we did under, say, Reagan.

We're fighting in a war that isn't a war.  We missed our opportunity when this first popped up.  And now we have an utterly clueless moron running the show.

Meanwhile, OUR intransigence will result in a far great bloodbath then would have resulted if we had just stayed out of it... had we acted appropriately in the first place.

And, in the alternative, the Clueless One doesn't know who we're helping, who the terrorists are (and we all know they ARE there) and what will happen when we DO arm them... and we will.

And, by the way?

We do have troops on the ground in Libya.  They wear those funny hats.  Green, to be precise.  And they have been since at least March 1. Others have the Budweiser on their chests.  But you know damned well... they ARE there.

Who's calling in the gun ships, the AC 130's, the Tomahawks?  Western Union?

Please.  Why does this slimeball have to keep lying to us?  He sounds more and more like Ridgefield Barbie by the minute.

Or is the other way 'round?
.

Jim Jacks isn't the only thing our democrat-controlled legislature has blacked out.

.
There is, of course, no such thing as transparency under democrats.

We don't have it at the federal level, to be sure.  And we certainly don't have it at the state level.

The left's failure, along with the local media goons, to provide us with the truth concerning Jacks' misconduct in Olympia is but a symptom of the greater disease.

Government arrogance at all levels, where the will of the people is routinely shoved aside... in everything from the Mukilteo City Council ignoring a 71% proposition vote to outlaw stop light cameras to our own local government's Libyan type efforts to keep us silent on the horrifically expensive, completely unneeded, massive waste of money that is the I-5 bridge/loot rail project by failing us... deliberately failing us... by refusing to allow us to have a vote on this monstrosity.

The democrats are in complete control of our government.  They have been for years.

So, is it any wonder that instead of a government by, for and of the people, the left is running on a system that is by, for and of their arrogance?

Take a look at this, take-a-lookers.  See what your democrat government is doing to us... as they have been doing it to us for years.

Legislature Remains in a Fog about Need for Transparency Reforms

March 13-19 is This op-ed appeared in Sunshine Week, a national initiative to promote a dialogue about the importance of open government and freedom of information. Participants include news media, civic groups, libraries, nonprofits, schools and others interested in the public's right to know. The Wenatchee World on March 12, The Everett Herald on March 13, The Bellingham Herald on March 14, and the Tri-City Herald on March 16.According to one legislative committee’s procedures in our state, the purpose of a public hearing “is to respectfully hear from the public.”

This common sense statement reflects the fundamental premise of our democracy that the governed are to be provided the opportunity to comment on the laws we live by and to help ensure those elected to represent us are informed about our opinions and expectations.

To facilitate this essential public involvement in the legislative process, the legislature’s rules require: “At least five days’ notice shall be given of all public hearings held by any committee other than the rules committee. Such notice shall contain the date, time and place of such hearing together with the title and number of each bill, or identification of the subject matter, to be considered at such hearing.”

Unfortunately this transparency protection for the public is routinely waived by some lawmakers.

In fact, during the 2010 Session some lawmakers waived legislative rules requiring five-day notice before holding a bill hearing; provided inadequate notice of the time, location and topic of public hearings; held hearings on bills with no text; and voted on bills the same day details were made publicly available. The rush to vote on the budget and tax bills without allowing meaningful public comment or adequate review time by lawmakers led to mistakes in the bills.

Things haven’t been much better this year as illustrated by Sen. Jim Honeyford walking out of a hearing in protest after his complaints were ignored that the committee was moving on substitute bills and holding a public hearing without adequate notice for either the public or lawmakers.

More:

Why? Why are they doing this to us?

For the same reason the local mafia is screwing us down here: They simply do not want to hear what we want. They don't care. They view themselves as far superior to us untermenschen in every way.

And we, of course, are too stupid to "understand."

It's a common thread, a thread that runs from the top of our government down to the city council level.

And I, for one, have had enough.

More democrat transparency. (Update)

.
One hour and thirty minutes after this entry was posted, voilà!  The rag puts up the names.

Sheer coincidence, of course.  So far, "The Liar" Leavitt's name isn't on the list.  But if it's not "The Liar" Leavitt, it'll likely be Temple Lentz, an appointment I would look forward to for reasons I'll make apparent if she gets the job.  Stay tuned!

As we all know, the democrats, aided by local media, are doing all they can to cover former Rep. Jim Jacks' misconduct in Olympia.

Nothing official has been filed, so, of course, to the leftist, nothing must have happened.

Garbage, of course. Had Jacks had an "R" after his name, the democratian would have been all over it like white on rice.

As a result, it's fairly clear the concept of democrat transparency is a myth.

But wait, there's more!

This little snippet made the rag today:

A nascent field of seven potential Democratic hopefuls attended an informational meeting Monday to scope out a seat in the state Legislature.

None of the candidates at the meeting wanted their names released yet, said Mike Heywood, chairman of the 49th Legislative District Democratic Central Committee.
Gee.  I guess the rag doesn't want to tell us anything about anyone unless they say it's OK first.  One wonders: when did the democratian stop doing news, and just publish press releases?

One thing I am hearing though:

Don't be surprised if the name Tim "The Liar" Leavitt is appearing on that list.

After all, he's Steve "The Liar" Stuarts BFF, and Marc Boldt will appoint whoever Steve tells him to.  And if Steve "The Liar" Stuart gets him appointed, he'll be uniquely positioned for the next phase of screwing his constituents: working at the STATE level to jam his tolls up our collective anal orifices.

He'll also get more money.

So, don't be surprised if "The Liar" Leavitt takes this opportunity to get the hell out of Dodge.
.

Chuckie "Slimeball" Schumer: Screw the people: we're gonna play politics.

.
From the caucus that brought you scumbag Dickie Durban (D-Illinois and Number 2 in the Senate), best known for comparing the US Army to Nazi's and living to tell the tale, comes Chuckie "Slimeball" Schumer (D-NY) who has certainly lived up to his name today:

Politics from the Nation's Capital

Schumer coordinates Dem budget attack on GOP

Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., a member of the Democratic Senate leadership, got on a conference call with reporters Tuesday morning without realizing the reporters were already listening in. Schumer thought he was on a private line with four Democratic senators who were to talk with reporters about the current budget stalemate.

Schumer instructed the group, made up of Sens. Barbara Boxer of California, Tom Carper of Delaware, Ben Cardin of Maryland and Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, to tell reporters that the GOP is refusing to negotiate.

He told the group to make sure they label the GOP spending cuts as "extreme."

"I always use extreme," Schumer said. "That is what the caucus instructed me to use."

Someone must have finally told Schumer that the media were listening and he stopped talking midsentence.

Caught with his political hand down his pants.

Make no mistake: these people are not interested in doing the right thing, unless that magically happens to match their agenda.

Scum.
.

So, in the Jacks debacle... where's the Clark County GOP?

.
The cricket chirps are deafening from Hazel Dell, as the Clark County Republican Party steadfastly remains silent in the face of the democratian's obvious hypocrisy.  No demands for disclosure.  No demands for an investigation.  No.... nothing.  Just acquiescence.

The party is SUPPOSED to be run by the newly elected Chair, Brandon Vick.  But I think he's come to find out that he was supported for election more as a figurehead for Anna Miller than to function as the actual party chairman.

Meanwhile, the democratian reeks of disingenuous double standard... and the local party, quite expectedly, remains silent.

Believe me, I understand the challenges Brandon must face, with a 30 or so seat Executive Board and Miller's control over everything... it's got to be tough.

And the fact that we only managed to pick up one seat in the last election cycle speaks to the incompetence of the local party organization.

But then, what else is new?
.

Multiple sources call me this a.m.: Lisa Schmidt to run against Tim Probst. Bad idea.

.
So, Lisa Schmidt is going to be making the rounds, shilling the caucus for support.

Bad idea.

Schmidt was a part of Keath Huff's cabal that attempted to destroy Ann Rivers by beating her to death with me.

They seemed to have some difficulty with my efforts to provide the non-Kool Aid drinking view of Ridgefield Barbie.  The democratian picked that up and ran wild with it.  Fortunately, and not surprisingly, they were unsuccessful.  Equally unfortunate (and as time goes on, more people are coming to know I was right)  I was temporarily unsuccessful as well... but you have to love the 1st Amendment.

So, out of my innate sense of fairness, I do believe that I will do the same for Lisa (I've got to think up a dandy little nick name for her... any suggestions?) as she attempted to do for me.

Just think.  We've got 17 months of fun ahead of us.

Besides... right now, I think that Brian Peck has learned many lessons, and he should get another shot.

Today's funneh.

.
.

A few key moments of the Empty Suit's speech tonight.

.

Oooppsss... actually, it was from another speech he gave a few years ago.

He's as big a hypocrite as the democratian, and I didn't believe that to be possible.

HT CDR Salamander

No, Stephanie... it isn't. (Updated)

.
As I pointed out and proved the rag's hypocrisy about their double standard in reporting, their fall back?

"That was different."

Gee.  When it comes to the left, it's ALWAYS "different."

Except for one thing: it isn't.

The allegations against Jacks are just as credible as the allegations against Jim Dunn.  They are precisely the same kind of thing, within the same framework, involving the same kind of activity.

But the democratian's position?
Lew,

The Richard Curtis case was a completely different set of circumstances. (And there were not 14 articles in five days, at least not all from The Columbian.) Curtis was first named by the Spokesman-Review as the victim in an alleged extortion attempt by a male prostitute. Curtis spent the next few days denying he'd paid for sex. Then a police report was released, saying Curtis admitted he'd paid for sex. Then he finally resigned. Then it came out that he'd asked the Washington State Patrol to help him out.

As other staffers said in the comments section last week, if there is ever anything credible to report about Jacks, we will report it. Until then, we will simply say he resigned for personal reasons. Stephanie

Stephanie Rice (Columbian Staff) — March 28, 2011 at 3:18 p.m. ( | suggest removal ) | Ignore User )
But somehow, Curtis' and Dunn's "right to privacy" didn't count as much as Jacks'.

There will never be anything that rises to the video tape level the democratian will require.  But as I pointed out earlier today, when it comes to a car wreck; none of those, live or dead, are entitled to the same considerations... because there, it's nothing BUT speculation.

This reeks with hypocrisy and an obvious double standard.  That those on the democratian staff continue to spout an unsupportable party line is as meaningless as this cover up.

Lew's response to Stephanie's idiocy?

Of course there were.  But, like always... this is somehow "different."

And like the Nazis who didn't know about the concentration camps...

If the democratian doesn't know?

It's because they don't WANT to know.  Anything else is a flat out lie.
.

So, when do we go to war with the rest of the Middle East?

.
One of the many problems with having an Empty Suit, either in Congress or in the White House, is that when they don't have a clue, nothing they say makes sense and their leadership simply cannot be trusted.

We have that in our congressional representation, and we have it in the presidency.

I've read Obama's speeches and comments.  I've reviewed where Biden said he would personally lead the charge to impeach any president who, well, did what Obama just did: take us to war without asking Congress first.

The problem is that the empty suited, anti-American racist bigot in the White House has no clue.  He has no experience.  He has no idea what the hell he's doing.

So when you hear him speak, you can replace the word "Libya," with the word "Syria," or "Bahrain" or "Yemen," or, well, Iran.

And what, exactly, are we doing in those countries?  They are, essentially, doing the same things to varying degrees.

Why are we staying out of Syria but jumping in to Libya?

Could it be... Oil?

Maybe.  But I'm suddenly reminded of Defense Secretary Gates words here:
"There are American national security interests and American vital interests where, in my view, we need to act decisively and if necessary act unilaterally," he says. "This is not one of them."
Then... why are we there?

And what stops us from going somewhere else?

If we had ANY confidence in our leadership, we might... just might... buy into the "it's a good idea" justification.

But it's no better to risk our lives and blow hundreds of millions of dollars we cannot afford in Libya then any of the other places mentioned above... places doing the exact same thing as Gaddafi... just at a lower volume, more difficult to hear.  And just another quick question: al Qaida has joined the rebels.  What are we going to do about that?

And we have no confidence in our leadership.

They've lied too much, ignored us too much, insulted our intelligence too much.

So, when do we start blowing up the rest of the area?  Because if we're justified in doing it here... and clearly, we are not... then we are justified in doing it everywhere else we feel like it.

And oddly enough, I don't believe that's what the left hired this moron to do.

A recent, illustrated history of democratian hypocrisy: Jim Jacks compared to an auto accident

.
Most anyone reading my blog is aware of the Jim Jacks debacle. Some level of his rampant misconduct in Olympia concerning female staffers and alcohol at a minimum and the democratian's cooperation with the democrats; who, through tax breaks, own that rag like they use it to mop up oil in a garage... and their not even subtle efforts to bury this eisode, covering for both Jacks and democrats.

From the comment section of the lame article the democratian settled for:

And then, we go over to an article about a tragedy on I-84:  Names released in fatal I-84 crash

What do we find?

Rampant "speculation" about the DEATHS of innocent people in a car wreck.

So... how come it's OK to speculate about the deaths of people in a car wreck... but it's somehow NOT OK to speculate about the TRAIN WRECK of a political career, now shot down in flames?

We know why.

This rag is doing everything they can to protect Jacks and the democrats.  After all, who cares about speculating on the tragic deaths of innocent people when speculation must be avoided all at all costs when the perp is Jim Jacks and a democrat.

Not so much when it's Jim Dunn or Richard Curtis and a Republican.

Hypocrites.

La Center city government, a wholly owned tribal subsidiary.

.
Irish finally gets his wish.

Jim Irish has been in the tribe's pocket since this issue was first raised, several years ago, so the irony of the headline "La Center, Cowlitz tribe leaders eager for talks" is difficult to get past... since "talks" between that criminal enterprise and Irish never stopped... even when the city council ordered that no contact take place.

Irish's desire to sell out his community and Southwest Washington appropriately centers around sewage... and that's what this deal will be: so much sewage.

The tribe has a history... a history of lies, exaggerations, intimidation. And this guy and the government they obviously own are "eager" to negotiate with proven thugs? Out of state and out of area people who have spent hundreds of thousands to buy local elections, a group of people who will not have to live in the cesspool of traffic, social service and housing needs that THEY are going to require to economically rape US?

And when this issue loses in court... and it WILL lose in court (One rarely succeed by ignoring a Supreme Court decision) when Interior's nonsensical decision is overturned? Then what?

If this fiscal whorehouse is built, and they demand to use ALL of the sewage capacity, leaving none for development out at the junction.... then what?

It's all kumbiyah right now. But the vultures working for the tribes are professionals... Irish and his band of children? Not even rank amateurs.

La Center is about to get its pockets picked clean. And what will these fine people do when they wake up and find their city gone? Who will they blame then?

Here's where Rob McKenna lost me: "Collective bargaining (for state workers) is a right."

.
No, Rob... it isn't. And if you win, it won't be with my support... as if that mattered anyway.
On Other Blogs Today Seattle Times: Republican McKenna Says Collective Bargaining is a Right

By Josh Feit Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 2:21 PM 18 Comments and 0 Reactions Democrats have linked Washington State Attorney General Rob McKenna to the anti-union reign of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker with murky lines such as: “His friends in the Legislature have introduced bills to eliminate collective bargaining rights for state workers.”
But Seattle Times reporter Jim Brunner interviewed McKenna last night and got this:
In an interview before the King County GOP’s Lincoln Day dinner in Bellevue Wednesday night, McKenna said he would not replicate Walker’s attempt to undo collective bargaining rights.

“Collective bargaining is a right. It’s not the problem. The problem is politicians who give away too much at the bargaining table,” McKenna said.

If he does get elected governor, McKenna said he’d work with unions, rather than “terrorizing them.”

Collective bargaining, or "collective extortion" as the taxpayers call it, is, of course, NOT a "right."

Public employee unions are not a right, so, of course, anything connected to those unions is not a "right."

Clearly, McKenna will sell us all out to get elected. Public employee unions and their democrat puppets have buried us in debt, with unfunded retirements, pay and benefit increases in the midst of a horrifric recession, law suits to keep screwing us, and a failure to even pay a fair amount for health care premiums. Our income goes down, and our taxes go up. And Rob seems OK with that.

You read it here first, just like you did for Dino.
.

Barbie writes a letter.

.
I spit up coffee all over my keyboard when I read the first line:
I was not elected to Congress because of my foreign policy experience.
This must amount to the political understatement of the decade.

You weren't elected because of ANY experience you have, foreign policy or no. Ever since you looked me in the eye and told me that your extended absense from the district you should never have been allowed to represent in the legislature... your time of parties, and internships and jobs that scrupulously avoided the private sector was the same thing as serving in the military.

It wasn't. But that's when I knew you were unfit to hold office.

You HAVE no experience, knowledge, or education worthy of election. You've never worked in the private sector, never owned a business or a house, never had a family... in fact, when it comes to the experience issue, you've never had a job save a minor, $3200 per month staffer for McMorris.

What you have had is a knack for being in the right place at the right time, and an amazing ability to lie.

You ran a campaign modeled after Obama's in every detail: he had no experience worthy of the presidency (and haven't we suffered because of it?) you had no experience worthy of even being a state representative, let alone a member of congress. He had no specifics, because if he had, he would have been destroyed at the polls. You had no specifics because you're an empty headed, vacuous egomaniac who actually believes she's EARNED whats been handed to her on a silver platter.

He has a history of fringe left, union thuggery, you have a history of fringe left, union thuggery. He lies. You lie.

Our nation is trillions in debt, and you fuss about a paltry $10 billion cut when we must have hundreds of billions in cuts, showing that you have NO IDEA of the depth and breadth of the trouble we're in as a Nation.

I don't give a damn what you think about going to war. In reality, your utter lack of experience, knowledge, or vision concerning ANYTHING military when we had a veteran with Defense experience we COULD have elected just points out what a colossal error in judgment you manipulated the voters into.

Millions of people in this country have forgotten more about the military in one day then you will EVER know. And as for foreign policy, the newest Infantry private in Afghanistan has more foreign policy experience then you will ever have.

Further, sending out a letter that someone else has obviously written while you put your name on it does nothing to increase confidence in your complete lack of experience or vision. And frankly, if you had any conscience at all, you would resign and let someone else who has experience, education, knowledge and a record of achievement take your place.

But then, this isn't about serving your country, is it, Babs? Because if you gave a damn about that, you would have worn a uniform and put your ass on the line for it. But that would have kept you from the parties and your multiple, few week internships that made up the length and width of your professional accomplishments... and we can't have that... can we?

That you were elected our congresswoman is the primary reason I have done all I can to keep my son out of the military. Because if the decisions effecting his life are going to be made by people like you and your hero Obama, then he should have nothing to do with it.

And no amount of op eds written by someone else and signed by you can fix that.

Jon Russell swings by.

.
Jon swung by and left this comment on a blog post on Russell Watch.

Jon Russell said...
Hey Kelly. No hitting the fan. Since I am term limiting myself off of council in two years I plan to spend a little time getting the handful of leftists in our community foaming at the mouth.

What's it all mean?

Who knows? Just thought I'd share.
.

Has Jon Russell gone off the deep end?

.
This commentary, none of which comes from me, speaks for itself. I discussed this briefly a few days ago, but much more has happened since.

I am told that Jon Russell is a good man. But it's clear that it's almost like he's demon-possessed when he's under pressure.

The following is the ongoing discussion concerning the E Street project in Washougal. Jon and his various alter-egos have a lot to say. That's problematic, because here we have a case of an elected official with a lot on his mind who's talking... but insists on using fake identities, a pattern of Russell's well established, to say it.

I believe that much of what Russell says equates to the ravings of a lunatic. But I readily admit my bias, so feel free to read it yourself.

Cross Posted at Jon Russell Watch with the comments from the paper.
.

Brancaccio nails down the problem: he's delusional.

As someone in the midst of the political maelstrom that is Clark County, I find myself in a position where, barf bag at the ready, I typically force myself to read the delusional rantings of both Brancaccio and his pit yorkie, Laird.

For years now, I've been looking for that critical clue that explains how, week after week, year after year, they could, with a presumably straight face, believe they are anything but a fringe left, democrat propaganda machine.

Year after year, the vast majority of the time, Brancaccio and his henchman attack conservatives, conservative issues, conservative causes and the like; typically lying, exaggerating, twisting, and living on a bias that is aimed exclusively at anyone to the right of Lenin.

So what's the clue I stumbled upon?

This self-serving, moronic, completely unrealistic self-assessment by someone who cannot be serious, by someone who actually is so far out of touch with reality that he could actually word process the following:
Truth is, I don’t consider myself a conservative or a liberal. I also don’t think The Columbian is conservative or liberal.
The only "truth" in the above self-flagellating pap is this:

Brancaccio DOESN'T think.

On that, most of us agree.

When, for example, was the last time The Delusional One took any democrat to task... for anything? When was the last time Brancaccio treated any democrat the way he's gone after me?

We have a raving lunatic as president. We have two far left kooks in the senate. We have a bunch of fringe-left nutjobs in the legislature. What we don't have?

Brancaccio or Laird columns condemning any of them.

On the other hand, when was the last time the rag attacked anyone to the right of Mao?

Seriously? Like there is ANY comparison?

The underhanded nature of Lou's blasts is obvious to a blind man. *I* am the one who refers to his rag as the (small d) democratian. Does he mention me or this web site by name to prove his assertion?

Brancaccio allegedly despises what I do here, yet his newspaper has visited this web site almost 800 times since he worked so hard to publicly destroy me professionally... make me radioactive... try and make it so no one in politics would have anything to do with me based on his moronic "guilt by association" ploy.

Only when he uses his bully pulpit to beat the hell out of me with his typically twisted, one sided, lying perspectives that he has ONLY reserved to anyone to his right, and that means about any sentient being that can walk upright.

One has to wonder: if I am such a terrible writer, if I am the lowlife that Brancaccio portrays me as... then why does he go to such great pains to read what I write?

Just for one example of his reeking bias, Lou and his rag have, in the recent past, PERSONALLY beat David Madore senseless.

Why?

Because Madore opposes their nonsensical agenda that will painfully impact tens of thousands of families across this region. Because the rag doesn't give a damn about the people when the people oppose their positions. We are, after all, too stupid. We lack the knowledge this self-righteous prick believes he has. We cannot think for ourselves, so he believes he can do our thinking for us... and that HE knows best.

I have been subjected to his efforts to destroy me professionally. Brent Boger was GOING to be slammed the same way until Brancaccio was bitchslapped from so many directions he couldn't even see straight.

When was the last time he treated ANY democrat like that?

Never.

Lou points to a FEW endorsements when the vast majority were and are to democrats, including his moronic continuing endorsement of a democrat running for Assessor WHO HAD NOT VOTED IN HER ENTIRE LIFE... his personal efforts to destroy Peter Van Nortwick in every imaginable way notwithstanding.

After Lou writes about, say, David Nierenberg, a multi-millionaire philanthropist who has spent hundreds of thousands supporting democrats the way he has written about Madore... after he has his bitch write one of his pit-yorkie columns about those SUPPORTING this massive abortion of replacing the I-5 Bridge and ramming loot rail down our throats... after he writes about Steve Stuart, Tim Leavitt, Jon Devore, Temple Lentz (Who writes The Daily Couv) or any other fringe left nutter blogger the way he writes about me?

Only then he can he possibly be accurate when he tries to convince us that he doesn't consider himself to be "conservative or liberal." Because right now, it seems he's trying to convince himself.

Only after he begins to demand the same level of accountability from those who share his ultra-leftist views, like stopping his efforts to protect Jim Jacks and his failure to actually REPORT on the issues... only then might he try and pass himself off as a non-partisan.

This all reminds me of those fine folks that lived across the street from the ancestral estates of the Count of Dachau.

Not a single one of them, according to the immediate post-war Fragebogen, knew that Dachau was a concentration camp or of any of the horrible things that went on there.

Not one.

I would venture to say like the horrific lack of actual reporting on the Jacks debacle, if the rag doesn't know?

It's because they don't WANT to know... just like the people of Dachau, right outside of Munchen "didn't know."

Can you people even begin to grasp what Brancaccio and the rest over there would be writing if this had been, say, Don Benton?

No lie would have been too awful to publish. No rumor. No made up story. No insult, no dredging up of anything, real or imagined would have been too much for these slime to print. And it would have went on for days.

All in the name of journalism, of course.

Another example of the rag's bias?
Jeers: To the Woodland City Council, which voted 4-1 against a symbolic resolution supporting the Columbia River Crossing project. The council took its short-sighted vote in a fit of pique, angry that state Rep. Jim Moeller, D-Vancouver, won’t support its pet project to spend state money to improve Scott Avenue.
The delusion continues if whoever wrote this trash didn't know there WAS a quid-pro-quo. But that's not the point.

The POINT is that these people exercised THEIR right and THEIR voice to take a position.

Jeers: to the rag for having the monumental arrogance in THEIR "fit of pique," to attack a city council because they were smart enough to disagree with the rag's agenda. The rank hypocrisy of such a sentiment should have been obvious enough that even a moron like Brancaccio should have spotted it.

Because if the vote had went the OTHER way?

They'd have been cheered for falling into line like the rest of the sheep supporting this horse hockey.

It wasn't the vote that pissed off Brancaccio... it was the outcome.

And it WAS a quid-pro-quo.

The strangest aspect of this "I'm non-partisan" crap is this: that he keeps writing this kind of thing, explaining how much of a middle-of-the-road guy he is proves that he's not. Otherwise, he wouldn't have to mention it.

So, in that regard, perhaps Brancaccio is right. Perhaps he is neither conservative or liberal.

Because when you're a slimeball, political labels don't really matter.

Truth time, democratian: Rep. Jacks forced resignation is due to misconduct.

.
Former Rep. Jacks resigned due to misconduct that involved staffers and alcohol.

This has been confirmed to me by multiple sources.

Jacks is a democrat, so naturally the local Goebbelian propaganda arm will do anything they can to protect him or any other democrat... after all, didn't they insist on endorsing a democrat for Assessor WHO HAD NEVER VOTED IN THE ENTIRETY OF HER LIFE?

The allegations concerning Jacks range from repeated sexual harassment episodes, to inappropriate physical contact to all hours "drunk calls" to at least one female staffer.

The democratian likely knows this. The information is, in fact, readily available, and the democrat's efforts to keep it covered up, while expected and supported by the rag is hardly the kind of transparency exhibited during the episodes concerning Jim Dunn and Richard Curtis... so the double standard is both obvious... and blatant.

One episode involving Jacks is alleged to have occurred on St. Patrick's day and was observed by another democrat legislator and involved interaction that is alleged to have bordered on assault involving a female member of OPR, or the House Office of Program Research.

Others involve at least one other staffer, and include long term issues of harassment and inappropriate late night calls.

Multiple sources have confirmed to me that alcohol has played a part in all of this.

Since the democratian IS a democrat paper, I appreciate their efforts to protect one of their own. But any speculation is a result of Jacks' and the democrat's failure to tell the truth and be transparent about the misconduct of one of their own, the same way they demand Republicans at all levels to be held accountable for their misdeeds.

The fact is that the based on the representation of the 49th District, it's likely they'd have no difficulty electing someone who had molested a girl scout troop. Jacks' sudden departure speaks to a far more serious series of issues; otherwise, he would have easily weathered the storm, rode it out and continued to serve.

That he bailed out with no notice speaks to the both the severity of the issues and the fact that the democrats do NOT want this kind of thing hanging over their heads in what's shaping up to be one of their most difficult election cycles since 1994.

I'm just sorry I'm doing the democratian's job for them. And if the rag doesn't know this stuff, it's because they don't WANT to know, or they're doing what their democrat masters are telling them to do.

Memo to the democrats: The only way you can make this disappear in a hurry is to spill all of it, now. Otherwise, it will NOT go away, and what the paper is calling "speculation" which is very close to factual, will continue to run rampant and continue to be an election issue.

You people know this... so do I... so why play games about it? Spill it all, get it over with. You got rid of the main problem... don't let it last any longer then you have to.

The democratians, reeking, rank hypocrisy on Jacks' "wishes" and "privacy."

As someone who has been the object of a one sided, exaggerated, slanted and biased character assassination by the democratian, I can't help but be amused by the concern expressed by the rag over Jack's departure. For example:
Please grant Jim his request for privacy so he can deal with his family's personal issues. He has taken the high road here by resigning his office and putting family first. I ask that people honor his request.
I have been down this road, as many in our community know. Ten years ago I walked away from public office to deal with a personal issue in my family, and like Jim, asked for privacy. Our community honored that request. In due time I was able to share the story publically of my daughter's drug addiction, but our family needed the time to deal with our challenges by ourselves. Jim and his family deserve nothing less, regardless of the issue that faces them.

I expect that Jim Jacks is experiencing an emotional and trying time. His resignation is a reminder that elected representatives are people with lives and families that deeply affect them.
No one saw this coming. Jim will share the story in time. Until then, we ought to offer support and comfort to him and his family.
David Madore — March 25, 2011 at 1 p.m. ( suggest removal ) Ignore User
I think for anyone posting here to suggest a rumor about why Jim Jacks resigned is ignorant. He resigned. The why....is his business, no matter the reason. People need to quit trying to put their own spin on what is probably a serious situation.

Though to me the more interesting part of the story is who will succeed Jacks, there seems to be a lot of speculation and rumors being posted about why he left. We're going to be removing those unless there is a confirmed allegation that he did something wrong in relation to his legislative job.
Craig Brown (Columbian Staff) — March 25, 2011 at 1:18 p.m. ( suggest removal ) Ignore User
Hey everyone, I just wanted to clear a few things up. I think I used some poor word choices earlier.
If there is found to be any wrongdoing pertaining to Jacks' duties as a public official, we will certainly write about them. But there have been no confirmed wrongdoings, and we won't print rumors. And we won't tolerate them on our website.
Matt Wastradowski (Columbian Staff) — March 25, 2011 at 3:55 p.m. ( suggest removal ) Ignore User
Councilman Burkman said it best -- give Jim & his family a break. He has served us well as one of our Representatives. The 49th will miss him. Say a prayer for Jim & his family. That's the best thing any of us can do right now.
johnq98686 — March 25, 2011 at 6:39 p.m. ( suggest removal ) Ignore User
Yes, Jacks is a "public figure", however, at this point he is an individual who has asked that we respect his privacy. Until it is shown that his concerns are also ours, he deserves that. I appreciate that the Columbian is finally doing something to limit the often mindless and mean spirited comments/speculation that frequently flood the website. It's not censorship, it's common decency. For those who feel they really need every bit of information, and they need it right now even if it's pure speculation, I'd suggest that perhaps what you really need is to get a life.
hgthomson — March 25, 2011 at 6:52 p.m. ( suggest removal ) Ignore User )
These observations are absurd in every respect.

Everything that Jacks has done here was done under the color of his office. He has no right or expectation of privacy concerning ANYTHING he's done while in office as a result.

Further, during the Dunn and Curtis debacles, I saw none of this one-sided concern... which is misplaced, as Jacks' actions here were done as a public official in public settings.

Censoring the public that has paid his salary to protect this democrat, particularly in the face of the efforts by this same rag to throw Republicans or anyone else... most of whom far more private individuals than Jacks... who opposes their agenda under a bus is what the democratian does best.

Treat EVERYONE the same. Write about Jacks the same way you ginzued Van Nortwick during the election cycle for example, you hypocrites.

And Lew Waters provided another example of this double standard.

All you leftists concerned about Jacks' privacy since he abandoned his constituents and quit?

Of course you feel the exact same way about.... Sarah Palin.... right?

Didn't think so.

What I'm asking for is that the rag and all you leftist defenders apply the same standard to Jacks... as you do to Palin.

As a result... covering for Jacks when you have absolutely NO reason to do so?

There is no excuse for that.
